Job summary

Gilder Search Group seeks an experienced CNC Machinist for first shift to operate CNC mills and lathes, perform grinding, and make minor program edits at the machine. The role emphasizes repetitive production with tight tolerances and reading blueprints.

Strong Mazak and OD grinding experience are valued. The position requires 3+ years of professional machining, with 5+ years preferred, and offers a standard first-shift schedule with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of professional machining experience; 5+ years preferred.
• Experience operating both CNC mills and CNC lathes.
• Demonstrated ability to make basic CNC program edits and adjustments.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficiency using precision measurement equipment, including micrometers and calipers.
• Experience with grinding, particularly OD grinding.
• Ability to troubleshoot machining and dimensional issues.
• Stable employment history with a demonstrated commitment to previous employers.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC mills, CNC lathes, grinders, and other machining equipment.
• Perform both CNC milling and turning operations.
• Set up and operate equipment for repetitive production machining.
• Make minor G-code/M-code edits and program adjustments at the machine.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and make appropriate process adjustments.
• Perform OD grinding and related grinding operations.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical diagrams.
• Use precision measuring instruments, including micrometers and calipers.
• Perform manual machining operations as needed.
• Maintain quality and dimensional accuracy throughout the machining process.
• Follow established production, safety, and quality procedures.
