Job summary

Pratt Industries – Cedar Hill is seeking a Machine Helper on 1st shift (Mon–Fri, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM). Starting pay rate is $19.00–$20.00 per hour. You’ll assist in machine setup and operation, maintain clean, safe work areas, and help meet customer demand while improving equipment efficiency.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and ongoing training. You’ll support operators, document production data, and participate in line progression toward operator roles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Corrugating industry experience preferred.
• 6 months experience as a Flexo or DieCut helper preferred.
• 6 months experience in Press and Finishing departments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies and maintain a clean, hazard-free work area in accordance with OSHA regulations.
• Inspect materials and products to ensure they meet standards and report quality concerns.
• Set up slotting, feeding, and die-cut sections on machines; assist operators and monitor performance.
• Participate in training sessions and cross-train on different machines and processes.
• Document production data accurately and communicate progress and challenges to supervisors.
