Job summary

Champion Personnel is hiring four experienced Machine Operators for a small, family-owned manufacturing company in Cleveland. These positions are for the 2nd shift, but candidates must train on the 1st shift for up to two months before transitioning to 2nd shift.

Starting pay is $21.00/hour with a contract-to-hire opportunity. Training will cover setup, operation, and quality checks for stainless-steel threaded meter rods used in the paper industry, with a focus on accuracy and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience operating machinery in a manufacturing setting.
• Able to read a tape measure and perform basic measurements.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Must wear steel-toe boots.
• Dependable, self-motivated and able to work independently after training.
• Excellent attendance, especially during training.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machinery producing stainless-steel threaded meter rods.
• Load rods into the machine, monitor the production process and ensure quality.
• Complete tasks within machine cycles up to 30 minutes and maintain safety standards.
