Job summary

Swagelok Northeast Ohio is seeking a skilled machine operator on 2nd shift to set up and run machining equipment safely and efficiently. The role requires hands-on setup, adjustments, and adherence to quality standards.

Ideal candidates have at least 30 months of machining experience, with Level 2 qualification and strong troubleshooting abilities. We offer strong Total Rewards and stability in a no-layoff environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 30 months of machining experience.
• Fully qualified as a Level 2 Machine Operator.
• Advanced knowledge about metal or plastic cutting processes and equipment.
• Self-motivated and able to learn at a fast pace.
• Proficient machining, communication, and troubleshooting.
• Operate machines including loading/unloading parts and inspection gauges.

Responsibilities

• Complete set-up and operation of machining equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Perform start-stop procedures including machine and conveyor start-up, loading of raw material, and machine shutdown.
• Make simple and advanced changes, adjustments, and setup to tooling and fixtures.
• Complete records and forms.
• Check machined parts visually and dimensional according to quality standards.
• Repair, replace and/or modify the equipment if required.
• Suggest process changes to improve machining operations.
• Maintain daily, semi-annual and annual machine maintenance.
