Job summary

Nelnet is seeking a M365 Engineer - Modern Workplace to administer and secure Microsoft 365 services across SharePoint Online, Viva, Power Platform, Fabric, and Azure. The role collaborates with business teams to deliver governance, automation, analytics, and AI-enabled workplace solutions, and serves as escalation point for complex incidents.

The position requires 3+ years of hands-on experience, a Bachelor's degree, and the ability to work remotely in the United States.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 in an enterprise environment.
• Experience governing SharePoint Online and related workloads.
• Experience with Viva, Power Platform, Power BI, Copilot Studio, Fabric, or similar platforms.
• Experience supporting Azure services related to Modern Workplace.
• Experience supporting Copilot for 365 readiness, adoption, governance.
• Experience with PowerShell, Graph API, REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, or similar automation.
• Familiarity with MFA, Conditional Access, DLP, retention policies, and information governance.
• Strong troubleshooting and independent incident resolution.

Responsibilities

• Administer and govern SharePoint Online, Viva, Power Platform, Fabric, Azure, and Copilot with a focus on governance and reliability.
• Support collaboration and content management across SharePoint Online and related workloads.
• Partner with business to identify automation and reporting opportunities using Power Apps, Automate, BI, and Copilot Studio.
• Support Fabric and Power BI admin activities for data integration and analytics.
• Manage Azure services enabling Modern Workplace capabilities and governance outside Entra ID.
• Support Copilot readiness, adoption, and end-user enablement.
• Automate tasks using PowerShell, Graph API, REST APIs, and related technologies.
• Partner with security/compliance to maintain secure, compliant environment and change management.
