Job summary

Nelnet is seeking a seasoned M365 Engineer to implement, administer, and support Microsoft 365 services across SharePoint Online, Viva, Power Platform, and Azure. The role emphasizes governance, reliability, and automation to improve collaboration and security.

You will partner with business and IT teams to drive adoption of Copilot, Power BI, and low-code solutions, while maintaining documentation and runbooks for operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in information technology, computer science, or related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on Microsoft 365 administration in an enterprise environment.
• Experience governing SharePoint Online and related workloads.
• Experience with Viva, Power Platform, Copilot Studio, Fabric, or similar platforms.
• Experience with Azure services governance and integrations.
• Experience supporting Copilot for Microsoft 365 readiness and adoption.
• Familiarity with security concepts like MFA, Conditional Access, DLP, retention policies.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support SharePoint Online, Microsoft Viva, Power Platform, Fabric, and Azure services with governance and reliability focus.
• Support content collaboration, permissions, site architecture, and information governance across Microsoft 365 workloads.
• Partner with stakeholders to identify automation, reporting, and digital transformation opportunities using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and related tools.
• Support Fabric and Power BI administration for data integration, reporting, and analytics under governance standards.
• Manage Azure services including subscriptions, resource groups, storage, serverless services, and automation.
• Assist Copilot readiness, adoption, and end-user enablement for Microsoft 365.
• Automate tasks using PowerShell, Graph API, REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, and other integration Tech.
• Collaborate with security, compliance, infrastructure and service desk to maintain secure, compliant operations.
