Job summary

Nelnet is seeking a M365 Engineer - Modern Workplace to administer and govern Microsoft 365 services such as SharePoint Online, Viva, Power Platform, and Azure, with a focus on governance, reliability, and adoption. You will partner with business units to identify automation opportunities and support Copilot readiness across the enterprise.

The role requires 3+ years of hands-on M365 experience in an enterprise setting, strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Graph API), and a solid understanding

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 in an enterprise environment.
• Experience administering and governing SharePoint Online and related workloads.
• Experience with Microsoft Viva, Power Platform, Power BI, Copilot Studio, Microsoft Fabric, or similar platforms.
• Experience supporting Microsoft Azure services related to Modern Workplace solutions.
• Experience supporting Copilot for Microsoft 365 readiness, adoption, governance, or enablement activities.
• Familiarity with security and compliance concepts such as MFA and DLP.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support SharePoint Online, Viva, Power Platform, Fabric, Azure, and Copilot with governance and reliability focus.
• Support collaboration sites, content management, permissions, and information governance across SharePoint Online and 365 workloads.
• Partner with stakeholders to identify automation, workflow, reporting, and digital transformation opportunities using Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
• Support Fabric and Power BI administration for data integration and analytics within governance standards.
• Administer Azure services to support Modern Workplace solutions and integrations.
• Support Copilot readiness, adoption, and end-user enablement processes.
• Automate admin tasks using PowerShell, Graph API, REST APIs, and other scripting tech.
• Collaborate with security, compliance, and infrastructure teams to maintain a secure, compliant environment.
