Job summary

Ideal candidates hold a Level 2 CMS certification, have 2+ years of sommelier experience in upscale settings, and bring strong knowledge of wine regions, varietals, and service techniques. Join a team dedicated to excellence.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 2 certification from Court of Master Sommeliers or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a sommelier in a luxury resort, fine dining restaurant, or similar setting.
• High school graduate or equivalent, preferred.
• Food Handlers Card – Maricopa County
• TIPS Certification

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an exceptional wine list that complements the resort’s cuisine.
• Source and order wines from reputable distributors, ensuring diverse, high-quality offerings.
• Build relationships with wine suppliers and negotiate pricing for cost efficiency.
• Conduct regular staff training on wine knowledge and service techniques.
• Engage with guests to recommend wines and host tastings and pairing events.
• Oversee wine inventory, storage, and stock levels.
• Ensure wines are served at optimal conditions and compliant with regulations.
