Job summary

Fairmont New Orleans is hiring a Third Measure Runner to support the Front of House team in delivering seamless, polished guest experiences in a luxury setting. You will assist Servers and Bartenders, ensure accurate and timely delivery of food and beverages, and maintain knowledge of our seasonal offerings, ingredients, and allergens.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant, food runner, banquet, hotel, lounge or hospitality settings preferred.
• Luxury hotel, upscale dining, or cocktail lounge experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork are essential for high-quality guest service.
• Attention to detail is critical to ensure order accuracy and presentation.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while staying professional.
• Remain composed during high-volume service periods.
• Positive, energetic, service-oriented attitude is required.
• Professional appearance and polished demeanour are expected.
• Must be able to work late nights, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States is required.
• Louisiana food safety certifications or ability to obtain them are required.

Responsibilities

• Support Servers and Bartenders in delivering guest experiences.
• Deliver food and beverages promptly and accurately to tables and guest areas.
• Verify orders for accuracy, presentation, temperature and special requests.
• Maintain knowledge of offerings, ingredients, allergens, and daily features.
• Communicate dietary restrictions to the team accurately.
• Assist with clearing and resetting tables and maintaining stations.
• Stock service areas with glassware, napkins, and condiments.
• Safely transport service items and maintain clean dining areas.
• Communicate effectively with team members and leadership.
• Assist with VIP experiences, special events, and high-volume service.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and concerns.
• Uphold luxury hospitality standards and professional appearance.
• Support opening/closing duties and general service area upkeep.
