Job summary

The Elder Statesman in Los Angeles is seeking a polished Sales Supervisor for the Melrose store to blend hands-on selling with leadership of a small team. You will coach Sales Associates, support store operations, and act as manager on duty when leadership is not present, all while upholding luxury brand standards.

Responsibilities include coaching in real time, floor coverage, onboarding, feedback, opening/closing, and maintaining stock and visual standards with exceptional client service.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail or hospitality experience, luxury retail preferred.
• Proven ability to coach and motivate teammates in a fast-paced client-facing environment.
• Strong customer service and relationship-based selling skills.
• POS and cash handling experience, including reconciliation; key holder responsibilities.
• Professional presentation and ability to represent a luxury brand.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays; open/close as needed.

Responsibilities

• Act as a leader on the sales floor, coaching associates in real time.
• Support store leadership with floor coverage, task delegation and shift planning.
• Onboard and train new Sales Associates on product knowledge and service standards.
• Provide feedback on team performance and escalate issues when needed.
• Open and close the store as key holder, including cash reconciliation.
• Maintain immaculate sales floor and fitting rooms; ensure visual standards.
