Job summary

Dowbuilt is seeking a Superintendent to lead one-of-a-kind, high-end residential projects on-site. You’ll manage safety, schedules, documentation, and subcontractors, ensuring top-quality craftsmanship and adherence to plans.

The role requires extensive luxury residential experience, strong communication, and hands-on carpentry/technical building knowledge across traditional and new materials. U.S. work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• 15 years of superintendent experience, 5 years high-end, custom residential
• Experience working through design details with architects/designers
• Degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings/specifications
• Journeyman-level carpentry skills
• Excellent communication, team-building and mentoring skills
• Deep technical building knowledge with traditional and new materials/methods
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, Project
• Proficiency in Procore (preferred)
• Experience with Sage 300 CRE is a plus
• U.S. work authorization

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-site construction manager for high-end residential projects
• Ensure safety, code compliance, and adherence to plans/specs
• Daily constructability problem-solving
• Develop/manage project schedule in MS Project; assist with preconstruction estimates
• Maintain plans, specs, as-builts and documentation
• Manage subcontractors; schedule and review work, safety, submittals
• Lead field crew and optimize supplier relationships
• Daily site walk-throughs; maintain job logs for key metrics
• Represent Dowbuilt professionally with clients, architects, PMs, subs
• Coordinate material deliveries and storage; foreman support
• Train and direct field crew; conduct performance evaluations
• Maintain job-site security and safety
