Job summary

Dowbuilt seeks a Superintendent to lead on-site management of one-of-a-kind, high-end residential projects. You will ensure safety, code compliance, and adherence to plans, while directing subcontractors and maintaining detailed documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

You will collaborate with the project manager to develop schedules in MS Project, contribute to preconstruction estimates, and mentor field staff.

Qualifications

• 15 years of superintendent experience, 5 years in high-end, custom residential.
• Experience solving constructability challenges with architects/designers to meet design intent.
• Degree in Construction Management or related field or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
• Journeyman-level carpentry skills.
• Excellent communication and mentoring abilities.
• Deep technical building knowledge across materials and methods.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and Project; Procore preferred.
• Experience with Sage 300 CRE is a plus.
• U.S. work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Oversee on-site construction management for one-of-a-kind residential projects.
• Ensure safety, code compliance, and adherence to plans and specifications.
• Manage subcontractors, scheduling, submittals, and RFIs.
• Maintain documentation, as-builts, and project records.
• Develop and manage project schedule with the project manager using MS Project.
• Coach and direct field crew; conduct performance evaluations.
• Maintain project site security and safety.
• Represent Dowbuilt with clients, architects, and stakeholders.
• Coordinate material deliveries and storage with foreman support.
