Job summary

Gates Hudson is seeking a Property Manager in Richmond, VA, to oversee all property operations and coordinate staff, budgets, and vendor relationships. The role emphasizes maximizing occupancy and property values while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and company policies.

You will train the Assistant Property Manager to cover duties in your absence and report to the Regional Manager and Property Owner. A strong customer service background and leadership skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent certification.
• 2-5 years experience as a Property Manager in Class A or Luxury property.
• Ability to work independently and also as part of a team.
• Landlord/tenant, ADA, and fair housing law knowledge.
• Ability to lead, develop and mentor a team.
• Strong background in customer service.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and stay within budget guidelines.
• Hire, train, and supervise on-site staff.
• Manage accounts payable and vendor invoices.
• Maintain occupancy targets and property values.
• Conduct move-in/move-out inspections and leasing paperwork.
• Oversee property maintenance and safety programs.
• Provide clerical support and prepare regular reports for management.
