Job summary

Gates Hudson is seeking a General Manager to oversee all property operations in Richmond, ensuring occupancy and property value goals are met. You will train the Assistant PM to cover duties during absence and coordinate with Regional Manager and Owner.

Responsibilities include budgeting, on-site staff leadership, leasing and accounts receivable, plus maintaining records and safety compliance. A strong customer-service background and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent certification required.
• 2-5 years experience as a Property Manager.
• Ability to lead, develop and mentor a team.
• Strong background in customer service.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in budgeting and stay within budget guidelines throughout the year.
• Hire, train and supervise on-site staff; conduct performance reviews.
• Manage leasing paperwork and tenant applications; approve qualified applicants.
• Oversee accounts receivable, rent collection and delinquency procedures.
• Coordinate property maintenance, safety programs and vendor relations.
• Prepare reports, maintain office records and administrative tasks.
• Attend corporate management meetings and communicate with regional managers.
