Job summary

Fairmont Chicago, Millennium Park is seeking a Housekeeping Facilities & Projects Manager to oversee the condition, organization, and operations of housekeeping areas across the hotel, coordinating preventive maintenance and special cleaning projects.

You will lead Public Area Attendants, Overnight Cleaners, and Housepersons, partner with Engineering, Security, Purchasing, and vendors, and ensure open items are tracked and completed.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of leadership experience in hotel housekeeping or related field.
• Experience supervising public-area, overnight, project-cleaning teams.
• Working knowledge of housekeeping equipment and preventive maintenance.
• Strong inspection, documentation, organization, and communication skills.
• Experience working in a union hotel environment preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, overnights and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee housekeeping facilities, public areas, overnight operations, and projects.
• Develop schedules and daily assignments for Public Area Attendants, Overnight Cleaners, and Housepersons.
• Inspect lobbies, restrooms, elevators, meeting areas, and back-of-house spaces; verify quality and safety standards.
• Coordinate preventive-maintenance cleaning and special projects with Engineering and approved vendors.
• Track work orders and maintain a centralized log; follow up until completion.
• Provide leadership and coaching to hotel housekeeping teams, ensuring accountability and quality.
