Hotel Chicago Downtown, Autograph Collection is seeking a Director of Housekeeping to lead the clean, safe, and high‑quality guest environment. You will oversee staffing, training, and performance, ensuring housekeeping standards align with guest expectations and brand directives.

The role requires strong managerial experience, hands-on budgeting, and collaboration with other departments to optimize guest satisfaction and operating efficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years management experience, with at least 3 years in housekeeping management.
• Experience managing in-house operated laundry operations.
• Knowledge of housekeeping and laundry operations and job requirements.
• Ability to lead cross‑department collaboration and conflict resolution.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and monitor staff workload to meet cleanliness standards.
• Develop housekeeping and laundry budgets and controls.
• Schedule labor to fit occupancy and events, controlling labor costs.
• Hire, train, evaluate, and discipline staff as needed, with clear communication.
• Ensure SOPs compliance and OSHA guidelines across the department.
