Job summary

InterContinental Hotels & Resorts is hiring a Kitchen Steward to clean and sanitize plateware, utensils, and equipment, ensuring a timely and clean work area. You will work with a team to maintain high standards of cleanliness and support other kitchen functions.

The hourly pay rate for this role is $17.00. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401k, and other eligible employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Standing up and moving about the kitchen.
• Remain stationary for extended periods.
• Handling, objects, products, chemicals, cleaning supplies and utensils.
• Bending, stooping, kneeling.

Responsibilities

• Set up work station and dish station; fill machine, prep set-up equipment, replenish across shifts.
• Clean designated equipment and areas; dispose of grease and chemicals properly.
• Check equipment condition; report hazards to supervisor.
• Empty and transport trash; adhere to recycling rules.
• Set up pot sink and monitor chemical and water temps.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors after meals and spills.
• Support teamwork and departments through daily communication.
• May assist with other duties as assigned.
