Job summary

InterContinental Indianapolis, operated by IHG Hotels, is seeking a Steward to maintain a spotless kitchen and dishwashing area. The role involves cleaning cookware, utensils and all kitchen spaces to ensure sanitary conditions for food preparation, with duties spanning ware-washing and daily maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent education.
• Minimum one year of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean the entire kitchen area, including cookware, plates, glassware and cutlery.
• Use correct cleaning chemicals per OSHA regulations.
• Set up and organize work station; report shortages to supervisor.
• Clean kitchen areas including walk-ins, coolers and related areas.
• Perform ware-washing and hand washing of pots and pans as needed.
• Maintain daily routine of kitchen cleanliness.
