Job summary

The Hay-Adams is seeking a Guest Service Representative in Washington, DC. This role handles check-ins and check-outs, greets guests, assigns rooms, and assists with upselling to higher-rated accommodations.

You will provide accurate information, process billing, and coordinate with the front office team to ensure a seamless guest experience. Candidates should have strong English communication, prior front desk experience in luxury properties, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
• Previous front office experience in a luxury property preferred.
• General computer experience required; hotel management software preferred.
• Must have good knowledge of English; second language preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check in and check out hotel guests according to standards of excellence.
• Greet guests and issue keys; introduce bell staff; upsell to suites and higher rated rooms.
• Handle guest requests, provide local information and concierge support when needed.
• Resolve guest issues promptly; log incidents and coordinate with Front Office Manager.
• Ensure accurate billing and incidental charges are posted to guest accounts.
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of public areas and the front entrance.
• Coordinate daily activities with the Manager on Duty and VIP guests as required.
