Job summary

The Hay-Adams, a 5-star luxury hotel in downtown Washington, D.C., is seeking a Room Attendant to maintain guestroom cleanliness daily and nightly per The Hay Adams Standards of Excellence.

Responsibilities include making beds, cleaning rooms and bathrooms, setting up amenities, and providing turndown service when scheduled. Must understand basic English and have high school education; previous housekeeping experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience highly preferred.
• Must be able to understand, speak, read and write basic English.

Responsibilities

• Make guestroom beds.
• Clean and dust guestrooms and bathrooms.
• Set up guest room amenities.
• Provide PM turndown service when scheduled, to include the cleaning of remaining unmade AM rooms as per established standard.
• Report maintenance needs to the Housekeeping Office.
• Account for linen inventories.
• Ensure the comfort of all guests.
• Turn in all Lost and Found items to the Housekeeping Department.
• Deliver items to guest rooms upon request.
• Maintain and clean storage closets and caddies.
• Perform Lobby Attendant or Linen Room Attendant duties if needed.
• Report any suspicious persons, activities or hazardous conditions to the Security department and/or Housekeeping Manager.
• Should be able to work any day including holidays.
