Job summary

The Hay-Adams in Washington, DC seeks a Room Attendant to maintain cleanliness of guestrooms daily and nightly according to our standards of excellence. The role requires basic English, ability to lift up to 25 pounds, and flexibility to work holidays.

Previous housekeeping experience is preferred. Responsibilities include making beds, cleaning rooms and bathrooms, setting up amenities, and assisting with special cleaning tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to understand, speak, read and write basic English.
• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to lift or move weights ranging from 10 to 25 pounds.
• Able to work holidays and weekends when required.

Responsibilities

• Make guestroom beds.
• Clean and dust guestrooms and bathrooms.
• Set up guest room amenities.
• Provide PM turndown service when scheduled.
• Report maintenance needs to the Housekeeping Office.
• Maintain and clean storage closets and caddies.
• Turn in Lost and Found items to the Housekeeping Department.
• Deliver items to guest rooms upon request.
