Hermès Chicago Boutique is seeking an Assistant Manager to partner with the Managing Director and Floor Director to drive sales, coach staff, and elevate client experiences in a fast-paced luxury environment.

The role requires building sales, identifying opportunities via CRM and service initiatives, and leading staff through coaching and performance reviews while maintaining Hermès standards.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of retail management experience; prior experience in a luxury environment preferred.
• Must possess basic office skills including proficiency in Excel, Word, Cegid and E-time.
• Ability to learn merchandise, POS and payroll systems; effectively troubleshoot.
• Ability to interpret sales data and translate into effective business recommendations.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift between 0-25 lbs. without assistance.
• Flexible in work availability as business needs dictate.

Responsibilities

• Daily supervision of staff (coaching, training and assisting in achieving sales objectives).
• Demonstrates active management presence on the sales floor modeling exceptional service and Hermès standards.
• Identify sales opportunities by weekly review of business by métier and convert to personal sales goals.
• Conduct monthly touch-base meetings and annual performance evaluations with leadership.
• Communicate CRM standards and maximize client data capture and quality.
• Ensure policy and procedure compliance across the team.
• Monitor scheduling and attendance in coordination with HR.
• Organize seasonal trainings and ensure the team integrates into client conversations at sale.
• Assist in recruiting and interviewing to fill open positions.
• Make critical client decisions and lead during leadership absence.
