Hermès Chicago Boutique seeks an Assistant Manager to partner with the Managing Director and Floor Director to run all aspects of the business, grow sales, and develop clients through CRM and service initiatives in a fast-paced luxury environment.

The role emphasizes coaching staff, maintaining Hermès standards, scheduling, recruiting, and ensuring profitability and inventory discipline, with meaningful bonus incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of retail management experience; luxury environment preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, Cegid and E-time.
• Ability to learn merchandise, POS and payroll systems; effectively troubleshoot.
• Ability to interpret sales data and translate into effective business recommendations.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift 0-25 lbs. without assistance.
• Flexible in work availability as business needs dictate.

Responsibilities

• Daily supervision of staff, coaching and training to achieve sales objectives.
• Demonstrates active management presence on the sales floor modeling Hermès service.
• Identify sales opportunities and align with staff goals to impact boutique results.
• Conduct monthly touch-base meetings and annual performance evaluations.
• Maintain CRM standards and maximize quality of client data.
• Ensure policy and procedure are communicated and followed.
• Oversee scheduling and HR records including attendance and vacation.
• Organize seasonal trainings and integrate staff into client conversations.
• Assist in recruiting and interviewing to fill open positions.
• Make critical client decisions during Managing Director/Floor Director visits.
