Job summary

Hermès in Illinois seeks a Selling and Service Assistant to support front and back-of-house operations in a fast-paced luxury boutique. You will process transactions, assist the sales team, and maintain CRM records while delivering Hermès’ signature client experience.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
• Experience in luxury retail or high-end service environments preferred.
• Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling is highly desirable.
• Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced boutique environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office is beneficial.
• Ability to handle difficult situations with grace and composure.
• 1 year of retail experience in a luxury setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Accurately record POS transactions at the register and assist with opening/closing procedures.
• Provide high levels of service in Hermès’ standard of service with greeting, questions, and wrapping at point of sale.
• Support sales team with merchandising, stock retrieval, and floor presentation.
• Organize workstation and selling floor to maintain stock and merchandising standards.
• Assist in stockroom operations including replenishment, tagging, and inventory prep.
• Support After Sales: log repairs and maintain client records.
• Maintain accurate CRM records with detailed purchase history and sales insights.
• Answer phones promptly with professional customer service.
