Job summary

Hermès Palo Alto Boutique is seeking an Assistant Manager to partner with the Managing Director and Floor Director to run all aspects of the business, build sales, identify opportunities, and develop clients via CRM and service initiatives. You will coach staff and ensure the Hermès spirit is reflected on the sales floor.

The role requires 4+ years in retail management, proficiency with Excel, Word, Cegid and E-time, and the ability to translate sales data into strategic recommendations.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of retail management experience; prior experience in a luxury environment preferred.
• Must possess basic office skills including proficiency in Excel, Word, Cegid and E‑time.
• Ability to learn merchandise, POS and payroll systems; effectively troubleshoot.
• Ability to interpret sales data and translate into effective business recommendations.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift between 0‑25 lbs. without assistance.
• Flexible in work availability as business needs dictate.

Responsibilities

• Daily supervision of staff (coaching, training and assisting in achieving sales objectives).
• Demonstrates an active management presence on the sales floor modeling exceptional service.
• Identify sales opportunities by weekly review of business by métier and delivery tracking.
• Conduct monthly touch-base meetings and annual performance evaluations with MD/ Floor Director.
• Communicate CRM standards and maximize client data capture per Hermès standards.
• Monitor scheduling and HR records; manage vacation and attendance with HR.
