Job summary

Hermès Miami Boutique is seeking a Cashier to support front-of-house operations in a fast-paced luxury environment. You will process transactions, handle payments, and assist with after-sales services while upholding Hermès service standards.

The role requires 1 year of retail experience in a luxury setting, strong numeracy, and excellent communication skills. You will work onsite, assist the sales team, and participate in daily cash reconciliation and reporting.

Qualifications

• 1 year retail experience, luxury environment preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of operating cash register or POS terminal.
• Good numerical sense, detail-oriented, high integrity and meticulous in payment handling.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Customer service oriented.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Detail oriented.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Computer skills: Microsoft Office.
• Ability to handle difficult situations with grace, compassion and composure.
• Ability to lift 0-25 lbs. without assistance.

Responsibilities

• Record POS transactions at the register accurately, assist in opening/closing procedures with management.
• Deliver high levels of service in Hermès standard of service, greet customers, assist with wrapping and packaging.
• Provide cashier support to Sales Team as needed.
• Process payments (cash, credit card, etc.) with accuracy.
• Handle returns, exchanges, refunds, and tax refunds per policies.
• Reconcile daily transactions and ensure cash balance at start/end of shifts.
• Input transaction and client information into the system and issue invoices.
• Prepare the daily cashier report.
• Answer phones promptly with professional customer service.
• Support store operations and ad hoc duties; promote teamwork.
