Job summary

Swickard Auto Group is building a pipeline of qualified Service Director candidates for future openings in Thousand Oaks, CA. This fixed ops leadership role oversees service, parts, and body shop where applicable, with P&L responsibility and a focus on CSI, absorption, and technician development.

Your track record should include 5+ years as Service Manager or Director, strong P&L fluency, and experience with luxury or import brands across our markets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Service Manager or Service Director experience at a franchised dealership.
• Luxury or import brand fixed ops leadership experience preferred across multiple luxury brands.
• Demonstrated absorption performance at or above 100%.
• Strong P&L fluency and data-driven decision making.
• Developer of people—coaches and builds bench strength in fixed ops.

Responsibilities

• Own the full fixed operations department (service, parts, body shop where applicable) as a unified P&L.
• Drive CSI, absorption, labor rate, technician efficiency, and gross profit to targets.
• Develop service and parts managers and build bench strength for growth.
• Partner with General Manager and fixed ops leadership to align with business objectives.
• Oversee manufacturer certification, warranty administration, and OEM relationships.
• Lead recruitment and development of technicians and service advisors.
• Monitor key fixed ops metrics (absorption, hours per RO, labor rate, productivity, parts fill rate).
