Job summary

Banyan Living, LLC in the greater Cleveland area is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our dedicated team. You will tackle a variety of maintenance tasks, conduct repairs, and perform preventative maintenance across our properties.

This on-site role requires basic trades knowledge, strong problem-solving, and reliable transportation. We offer competitive pay, benefits, and a rent discount when living onsite.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in maintenance or a related field.
• Solid knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and general repair work.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Physical ability to perform maintenance tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Availability for on-call duties and emergency maintenance as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all building systems and equipment.
• Respond to resident maintenance requests promptly, ensuring great customer service and satisfaction.
• Complete repairs on plumbing, electrical, and appliances.
• Prepare vacant units for new tenants by ensuring repairs and maintenance tasks are performed.
• Maintain thorough documentation of maintenance activities and track supply inventory.
• Work collaboratively with the property management team to address and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment at all times.
