Job summary

Regent Santa Monica Beach is seeking a Pool Server to uphold our luxury standards by serving beverages, taking orders, and explaining menu items. You will assist with stocking supplies, support the bartender, and help the kitchen ensure accurate orders.

Greet and seat guests, maintain pool area cleanliness, and adjust loungers and umbrellas as needed. The role requires excellent hospitality, teamwork, clear communication, and a focus on quality service, with the ability to work evenings,

Qualifications

• Understand and perform duties per Regent Santa Monica and Service, Food, Beverage and Wine manuals.
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language used in the workplace.
• Must be able to read and write to facilitate communication.
• At least 1 year experience in food and beverage operations – luxury hotel or fine dining a plus.
• Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware.
• Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space.
• Must be able to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously.
• Flexible schedule, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Participation in pooled tip system.

• Deliver exceptional hospitality to all guests with attentive, polished service.
• Create an outstanding dining experience.
• Remember guest preferences and speak to the menu, wine list, and items as needed.
• Offer friendly and prompt service to our guests.
• Set up and break down of the pool area and move umbrellas/chairs as needed.
• Replenish beverages and change towels as required.
• Assist with preparation and distribution of hourly pool amenities.
• Deliver Forbe’s five-star service.
