You greet and seat guests, assist with sun loungers and umbrellas, and respond to guest requests with professionalism, clear communication and a commitment to outstanding service and teamwork.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience in food and beverage operations – luxury hotel or fine dining experience a plus.
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language used in the workplace.
• Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware.
• Able to stand for long periods and move about the property.

Job Summary:

As the Pool Attendant, you uphold Regents' luxury standards by supporting servers, bartenders, and the kitchen team with restocking and order accuracy. Additionally, you maintain cleanliness and organization around the pool, greet and seat guests, and assist with guest requests such as moving loungers and umbrellas. Your role requires professionalism, clear communication, and a strong commitment to customer service and team collaboration.

A little bit about your day:

Reporting to the Outlets Manager every day is different, but you’ll mostly:

• Promote the Regent’s service philosophy and style through our people attributes.
• Understand and perform job duties to the expectations of Regent Santa Monica Beach
• Perform all side work applicable to assigned station.
• Participate in Pre-Shift meetings and learn new menu items.
• Welcome all guests and ensure they receive responsive, professional and gracious service.
• Answer any questions about the menu, specific food items, the wine list or any other inquiries the guest may have.
• Liaise with server and pool hosts to always ensure communication about wants and needs of guests.
• Verify guests, check them into loungers or cabanas and assist guests to their seats.
• Assist guests with umbrella and chaise lounge location move requests.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on delivering impeccable guest service.
• Knowledgeable on all activities happening at the pool and the resort.
• Assists the team with daily delivery of surprise and delights to guests.
• Always maintains cleanliness of the pool and its surrounding areas.
• Stocking towels and supplies as needed.
• Ensure Dirty Towels are taken to proper location for cleaning.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment all times.
• Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant employees and guests.

Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year experience in food and beverage operations – luxury hotel or fine dining experience a plus.
• Understand and perform job duties to the expectations of Regent Santa Monica and the restaurant Service, Food, Beverage and Wine manuals.
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
• Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware.
• Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space.
• Able to stand for long periods and move about the property.
• Carrying or lifting items weighing more than 50 pounds.
• Must be able must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously
• Flexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• This position necessitates participation in a pooled tip system, where you contribute to tipping out the support staff and other essential team members.

What you can expect from us:

The annualpay range for this role is$25.84 - $32.30 per hour. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed atRegent Santa Monica Beach.
