Job summary

Regent Santa Monica Beach, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts’ luxury portfolio, seeks a Pool Attendant to uphold luxury standards by supporting servers, bartenders, and the kitchen with restocking and order accuracy while maintaining the pool area.

You greet and seat guests, assist with sun loungers and umbrellas, and respond to guest requests with professionalism, clear communication and a commitment to outstanding service and teamwork.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience in food and beverage operations – luxury hotel or fine dining experience a plus.
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language used in the workplace.
• Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware.
• Able to stand for long periods and move about the property.

Responsibilities

• Promote the Regent’s service philosophy and style through our people attributes.
• Welcome all guests and ensure they receive responsive, professional and gracious service.
• Answer questions about the menu, wine list or other inquiries.
• Liaise with server and pool hosts to ensure communication about guests’ wants and needs.
• Verify guests, check them into loungers or cabanas and assist to their seats.
• Maintain pool area cleanliness and stock towels and supplies.
• Comply with health, safety and labor regulations affecting restaurant employees and guests.
