Job summary

The Pantry Attendant role atFour Seasons in Manhattan serves guests by preparing breakfast pantry items, completing mise en place, and coordinating with the pastry team to ensure quality and presentation.

The position requires a high school diploma or culinary training, at least one year in food service, and English literacy; we offer competitive pay, training and development, staff accommodations, dry cleaning, and a complimentary employee meal.

Qualifications

• High school graduate and apprenticeship, cooking school, or culinary institute education.
• Minimum one year of food service or related work.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Check and complete mise en place and pars and set-up the pantry station for breakfast.
• Prepare items as required by the guest order for breakfast and lunch.
• Work closely with standard recipes and plate presentations to maintain standards of quality in production and presentation.
• Communicate with the Sous Chefs, In‑Room Dining Managers and pastry team regarding menu-related items.
• Complete requisitions, obtain proper signatures, and submit to the In‑Room Dining managers.
• Store items properly, check expiration dates, following first in/out and Department of Health regulations.
• Complete side work for the following day.
• Ensure a clean, neat and organized work area.
