Job summary

Qualifications

• Friendly, service-oriented approach with courteous communication.
• Previous cafeteria, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of food handling and sanitation, follow procedures.
• Ability to follow checklists and standardized portions accurately.
• Willingness to obtain a food handler certification by start date.
• Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet team members and guests, provide courteous service, maintain a positive dining experience.
• Answer questions about menu items; refer allergy or safety questions to culinary leadership.
• Monitor hot-line levels and coordinate with kitchen to restock items.
• Bus tables and clean dining areas to maintain a sanitary environment.
• Keep service items stocked and coordinate with Stewarding for silverware availability.
• Follow food handling, sanitation, and health department requirements at all times.
• Complete opening/closing and cleaning checklists on schedule.
• Assist with simple food prep as directed, such as slicing vegetables or plating.
• Communicate supply needs and feedback promptly to culinary leadership.
