Job summary

The Knox Hotel Employer LLC is seeking a Team Member Dining Room (Cafeteria) Attendant to support a clean, welcoming dining experience for team members and guests. This role maintains the cafeteria service area, serves food in consistent portions, keeps beverages and service items replenished, and works closely with the culinary team to ensure the dining space is ready throughout service.

You will greet guests warmly, answer menu questions, monitor hot-line levels, bus and sanitize tables, stock

Qualifications

• Friendly, service-oriented approach; able to communicate courteously with guests and team.
• Experience in cafeteria, restaurant, or hospitality settings preferred.
• Basic food handling knowledge; willingness to follow procedures.
• Ability to follow written checklists and standard portioning guidance.
• Food handler certification or ability to obtain before start date.

Responsibilities

• Greet team members and guests warmly, provide courteous service and maintain a positive dining experience.
• Answer questions about menu items; refer allergy or food-safety questions to culinary leadership.
• Monitor hot-line items and coordinate with kitchen to replenish before running out.
• Bus tables and keep dining areas clean, sanitized, and stocked.
• Maintain utensils, napkins, condiments, and service items; coordinate with Stewarding.
• Follow food handling, sanitation, and safety requirements at all times.
• Complete opening/closing and cleaning checklists on schedule.
• Assist with simple food preparation when directed, e.g., slicing vegetables or plating desserts.
• Communicate supply needs and feedback to the culinary leadership promptly.
