Job summary

Bartolino’s in St. Louis is seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our family-owned kitchen. You will prepare dishes, set up stations, and maintain high quality during busy service hours, while following safety and sanitation guidelines.

Ideal candidates have prior line cook experience or willingness to train, and must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude. Competitive team setting and room to grow.

Qualifications

• Previous line cook or kitchen experience preferred, but we’ll train the right candidate.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Able to handle a fast-paced kitchen environment with a positive attitude.
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen safety practices.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines
• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies before service begins
• Work efficiently during high-volume periods while maintaining quality and consistency
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and properly
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Keep workstations clean, organized, and stocked throughout the shift
• Assist with prep work for upcoming services as needed
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen team and front-of-house staff to ensure timely service
