Job summary

Bartolino’s in St. Louis is seeking a skilled and dependable Line Cook to prepare high-quality dishes that keep guests coming back.

You’ll set up stations, cook items per recipes, and maintain safety and cleanliness. You’ll focus on pizza, salad, and desserts, with opportunities to learn and grow in a family-owned kitchen.

Qualifications

• Prior line cook or kitchen experience preferred; training possible.
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen safety.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies before service begins.
• Work efficiently during high-volume periods while maintaining quality and consistency.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and properly.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Keep workstations clean, organized, and stocked throughout the shift.
• Assist with prep work for upcoming services as needed.
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen team and front-of-house staff to ensure timely service.
• Primary focus on pizza, salad, and dessert stations.
