Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Principal Structural Analyst to lead structural evaluations of lunar transport components and support hardware. You will guide analyses of pumps, heat exchangers, valves, radiators, cold plates, docking systems, and gas storage with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

The role centers on delivering high-quality structural insights, leading cross-functional reviews, and mentoring junior team members within the Lunar Permanence unit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 15+ years in structural analysis.
• Experience as Structural Integrity Lead or Analysis Lead.
• Strong ability to derive solutions from first principles.
• Excellent communication to convey complex results.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed structural analysis of Thermal/Fluids and mechanical systems.
• Perform static structural, modal, random vibration, fatigue, and damage tolerance analyses.
• Apply first principles to solve complex structural analysis problems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align results with project goals.
• Utilize 3D CAD modeling (Creo) and FEA tools for analyses and closed-form solutions.
• Ensure GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and environmental testing compliance.
• Prepare and present technical reports and analysis results.
