Job summary

Blue Origin in Florida is seeking an Avionics Systems Engineer for the Lunar Permanence program to define and manage mission-specific requirements and verification artifacts. You’ll collaborate with system, software, hardware and test engineers to establish technical requirements and verification plans for the Avionics subsystems in a human-rated lunar spacecraft.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering or equivalent technical field.
• 5+ years of Systems Engineering experience including requirements definition, traceability, interface definition, design documentation, integration, verification, and validation.
• Understanding of Systems Engineering lifecycle and the 'Systems Engineering V'.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to define system requirements across multiple customers and missions.
• Analyze customer and mission requirements with internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop and manage requirement specifications and traceability with accurate flow-down.
• Define relationships between requirements, design parameters, budgets, ICDs and performance measures.
• Establish verification approaches and plans for system requirements and tests.
• Coordinate verification data acquisition to demonstrate compliance with requirements.
