Job summary

Blue Origin in Space Coast, FL seeks a hands-on CNC Machinist & programmer to support emergent fabrication for lunar operations. You will review models, develop machining strategies, create CAM programs, and run 3-axis and 5-axis machines, with manual machining as needed. Focus on flight-critical hardware in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires setting up complex jobs, performing inspections, and collaborating with engineering and operations to meet schedule and quality demands.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus technical training or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 5+ years of CNC machining and programming experience producing tight-tolerance hardware.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T per ASME Y14.5 at a working level.
• Experience editing and verifying G-code and using CAM software.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate 3-axis and 5-axis CNC mills and lathes.
• Create and prove-out NX CAM programs, select tools, determine workholding, and set cutting parameters.
• Perform complete job execution from planning through inspection and documentation.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to ensure flight hardware meets requirements.
