Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an avionics hardware engineer to join the Core Avionics team within the Lunar Permanence unit. You’ll help define, test, and certify avionics hardware for lunar vehicles, contributing from concept through sustainment with partners across multiple technical functions.

The role focuses on development, manufacturing, and testing of Lunar C&H and PMAD components, emphasizing safe, affordable, and repeatable spaceflight in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Computer, Aerospace, or related field.
• Avionics hardware build and test experience.
• Complex hardware design experience in SRR, PDR, CDR and design reviews.
• Experience with requirements development and verification.
• Familiarity with verification plans and qualification reports for certification.

Responsibilities

• Support C/DH and PMAD Responsible Engineers in avionics box lifecycle development.
• Hardware build, integration, and test of EDU and flight hardware.
• Perform verification and qualification activities.
• Develop requirements interfaces and conduct root cause analyses.
