Job summary

METHUEN PUBLIC SCHOOLS district is seeking a LTS Program Assistant Foundations Partial Inclusion PK at the Early Childhood Center, per diem position. You will support students with disabilities, assist with instruction, and help implement classroom programs and behavior plans.

The role involves escorting students during arrival/dismissal and assisting with toileting and feeding needs as needed, under guidance of the SPED team. This is a per diem support role within the district.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; an associate degree or higher preferred.
• Experience working with children/students.
• Experience assisting in program implementation; ability to work with professional staff.
• Outstanding preparation/experience may substitute for some qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Support students with disabilities in inclusive and substantially separate settings.
• Assist with behavior plan implementation.
• Provide academic support as needed.
• May assist with feeding and toileting needs.
• Monitor attention, work completion, and social navigation.
• Perform duties as assigned by school administration.
• Other duties as assigned by the classroom teacher.

Position Purpose

Supporting students with toileting and feeding needs; supporting instruction and implementing programs/lesson plans created by the Special Education Teacher; escorting students to and from pick up/drop off locations during arrival and dismissal; supporting and implementing behavior plans as directed by BCBA and/or classroom teacher.

Salary - $125 per diem

Qualifications
