Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines is seeking a skilled Operations Supervisor to lead dock personnel, plan schedules and drive safe, efficient LTL operations. You will set targets, coach staff, ensure policy adherence and participate in hiring decisions under the Operations Manager.

Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities are essential to meet KPI targets and maintain timely paperwork handling. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (GED acceptable) and experience in LTL trucking.

Qualifications

• Must have strong leadership skills including the ability to hire, coach, counsel, train, mentor and terminate employees.
• Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills.
• Thorough understanding of LTL trucking industry and basic paperwork flow preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead dock employees, set targets, monitor performance and coach as needed.
• Manage dock planning and schedules to ensure efficient operations.
• Enforce safety rules, company policies and government regulations.
• Participate in hiring and terminations as directed by management.
• Oversee paperwork and communicate with customers via phone, fax or email.
• Maintain KPI performance and utilize company tools to improve efficiency.
