Job summary

Acadia Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Sales Specialist to drive long‑term care territory growth by building strong relationships with prescribers, pharmacists and facility leaders. You will deliver clinical and reimbursement education, address questions, and expand product adoption with targeted territory plans and data‑driven outreach.

Candidates should reside within the territory with a valid driver’s license and be prepared for up to 80% travel, including overnights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; emphasis in life sciences preferred.
• 3+ years of sales experience with at least 1 year in pharmaceutical/healthcare sales; neuroscience preferred.
• Senior/Executive level requires more extensive healthcare sales experience (8+ / 12+ years respectively).

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with LTC care team members including physicians, NP/PA, pharmacists, and facility leadership.
• Deliver compliant clinical, disease state, and reimbursement education tailored to customer needs.
• Identify customer questions/objections and apply advanced selling skills to drive therapy adoption.
