Job summary

Acadia Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Sales Specialist to drive LTC territory growth, build relationships with prescribers, pharmacists, and facility leadership, and deliver compliant clinical and reimbursement education tailored to customer needs.

You will develop quarterly business plans, analyze market trends, and collaborate with cross-functional teams while traveling up to 80% of the time to support customers and initiatives across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; emphasis in life sciences preferred.
• 3 years of sales experience with at least 1 year in pharmaceutical/healthcare sales; neuroscience preferred.
• Executive level: 12+ years healthcare sales with complex/account-based selling experience.
• Proven leadership and mentorship capabilities at a regional level.
• Must reside within the territory or within 30 miles of its border; willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with LTC resident care team members (physicians, NP/PA, pharmacists, leadership).
• Deliver compliant clinical, disease state, and reimbursement education tailored to customer needs.
• Identify customer questions/objections and use advanced selling skills.
• Develop knowledge of customers, practices, and regional market trends for business planning.
• Create quarterly territory plans and leverage data to maximize reach within budget.
• Guide pricing, reimbursement, and LTC profitability; liaise on access questions.
• Collaborate with sales management, cross-functional partners, and training teams.
• Represent Acadia at conferences, product launches, and trainings; contribute to initiatives.
• Mentor and train new/junior Sales Specialists; share field insights.
