Job summary

Acadia Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Sales Specialist to drive growth in an assigned long-term care territory. You will build and nurture relationships with physicians, pharmacists, and facility leadership to ensure appropriate patients are identified and remain on therapy.

You will deliver compliant clinical and reimbursement education, develop quarterly plans, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to address customer needs while maintaining full regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, emphasis in the life sciences preferred.
• 3 years of sales experience with at least 1 year in pharmaceutical/healthcare sales; neuroscience preferred.
• Sr. Specialist: 8 years healthcare sales with 2+ years in complex or account-based selling environments.
• Executive: 12 years healthcare sales with 3+ years in complex or account-based selling environments.
• Must reside within the territory (or within 30 miles of its border) and travel up to 80%.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with LTC care team members.
• Promote Acadia products with compliant clinical and reimbursement education.
• Identify and address customer questions with advanced selling skills.
• Develop knowledge of customers and market trends for business planning.
• Create and execute quarterly territory business/action plans within budget.
• Provide pricing, reimbursement, and LTC profitability guidance; liaison for access questions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address business needs.
• Represent Acadia at conferences, launches, and trainings.
• Mentor and train new/junior Sales Specialists.
• Maintain regulatory compliance in all activities.
