Job summary

Prudential Financial in the United States seeks an experienced Disability Claims Specialist to join the Long-Term Disability Core Team as a technical expert. You will guide claim professionals, provide coaching on complex matters, and help sustain high-quality claim outcomes.

Focus areas include policy interpretation, medical and vocational considerations, benefit eligibility, and the development and delivery of technical training for staff, while claim ownership remains with the assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Long-Term Disability claim management experience.
• Advanced knowledge of LTD policy provisions, medical and vocational considerations, benefit calculations.
• Ability to analyze complex or high-risk claim scenarios and recommend sound strategies.
• Experience coaching claim professionals and providing actionable feedback.
• Proficiency with data, inventory indicators to monitor block health.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a LTD technical expert to the Team Lead and claim professionals on complex matters.
• Provide guidance on policy interpretation, medical/vocational considerations, and benefit eligibility.
• Coach professionals through complex scenarios to improve decision quality.
• Analyze claim activity to identify trends and risks; escalate as needed.
• Support development and delivery of technical training for claim staff.
