Ebenezer seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to perform professional nursing duties in compliance with Skilled Nursing Facility regulations at our Minneapolis, MN facility.

Join our team at Jones-Harrison Senior Living with 135 years of service; provide care, medication assistance, documentation, and collaborate with RNs.

Qualifications

• MN LPN licensure is required.
• BLS CPR certification or Red Cross equivalent.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care per orders, assist with medications and supplies.
• Lift and transfer residents; initiate emergency treatment as needed.
• Monitor unlicensed staff performance.
• Update RN with observations and document resident health status.
• Communicate changes in resident conditions to the care team.
• May assist RN with resident assessments and care plans.

Job Overview

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) performs a variety of professional nursing duties in compliance with the Skilled Nursing Facility regulations and follows established policies and procedures for our facility in Minneapolis, MN - Jones-Harrison

Nurse Schedule Includes

• 40 hours every two weeks
• Evening shift
• Week 1 Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday. Week 2 Monday

This community features 53 Assisted living, 9 memory care apartments, 120 skilled and long term care beds. • Provides skilled nursing care such as; implementing practitioners’ orders, ordering and assisting with medications and supplies, operates medical equipment, and charting practices
• Lifts and transfer residents as needed, Initiates emergency treatment as needed
• Monitors work and performance of unlicensed staff
• Updates RN with current observation and completes documentation of resident health status
• Communicates changes in residents conditions to relevant individuals
• May support RN by completing resident assessments, service agreements and care plans

Required

• MN LPN licensure
• AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or Red Cross CPR for Professional Rescuers (3 week grace period for BLS)
• Able to work independently
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred

• Previous healthcare experience
• Comfortable using computers, hand held devices, phones and fax machine
