Job summary

Ebenezer is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our TCU and LTC team at Martin Luther Care Center in Bloomington, MN. The role involves providing skilled nursing care, administering medications, and monitoring resident health in a busy skilled nursing facility.

Candidates should hold MN LPN licensure and CPR/BLS certification, be able to work independently, and communicate effectively with patients and staff. Prior healthcare experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• MN LPN licensure is required.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers or CPR certification required.
• Ability to work independently with good communication skills.
• Preference for prior healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

Job Overview

Ebenezer is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our vibrant and welcoming TCU and LTC team! This position performs a variety of professional nursing duties in compliance with the Comprehensive Home Care regulations and follows established policies and procedures for our beautiful Skilled Nursing Facility in Bloomington, MN.

Schedule

• 16 hours per two weeks
• Day shift
• Every other weekend (sat/sunday) and holidays rotation

Martin Luther Care Center, part of the Martin Luther Senior Living Campus is located in East Bloomington, MN near woodlands/wetlands and along the Minnesota River Bluffs. Duties

• Provides skilled nursing care such as implementing practitioners’ orders, ordering and assisting with medications and supplies, operating medical equipment, and charting practices
• Lifts and transfers residents as needed, initiates emergency treatment as needed
• Monitors work and performance of unlicensed staff
• Updates RN with current observations and completes documentation of resident health status
• Communicates changes in residents’ conditions to relevant individuals
• May support RN by completing resident assessments, service agreements and care plans

Required

• MN LPN licensure
• AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or Red Cross CPR for Professional Rescuers
• Able to work independently
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred

• Previous healthcare experience
• Comfortable using computers, hand held devices, phones and fax machine
