Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum of one (1) year clinic experience preferred.
• Have and maintain current licensure as a Licensed Practical/Licensed Vocational Nurse within the state of employment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Under RN supervision, assess patients' physical, psychological, and social dimensions in Health Care Unit and housing units, contributing to individualized treatment planning.
• Implements treatment programs, administers medications (including IV therapy if certified), and performs diagnostic tests as per protocols.
• Collaborates in controlled substance counts at the beginning of each shift, following safety techniques and standard precautions.
• Assists in medical or minor surgical procedures, implements nutrition and therapeutic diets, and documents nursing encounters using SOAP charting.
• Attends mandatory staff meetings and training sessions, committing to ongoing professional development and adherence to policies.
