Job summary

Bethesda Health Group is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide basic nursing care and assist in ongoing resident assessments. You will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to update care plans and ensure safe delivery of medications and treatments.

The role requires an active LPN license, CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months), and IV certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months). Experience in long-term care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse with active LPN license in the state of employment.
• CPR and AED certification required, or to be obtained within six months of employment.
• IV certification required, or to be obtained within six months of employment.
• Long-term care experience preferred.
• Ability to assess basic nursing care needs of geriatric residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care and assess residents on admission and ongoing.
• Document assessments accurately and timely; communicate changes to the IDT.
• Participate in care planning and update plans as interventions change.
• Ensure safe medication administration and treatments; administer IV fluids if IV certified.
• Respond to call lights and assist residents with ADLs as needed.
